Day 19 March 5

I killed it today! While David was off writing procedures for wells and boring stuff like that, I got to work. Because the original overhead lights in the mudroom didn’t have junction boxes attached to them, David felt it best to replace them with ones that do. David had replaced one with a leftover recessed light from the kitchen, but we needed another one. I had picked up one at the store and installed it when I got back.

Then came the fun task. Since the removal of the walls in the kitchen, we’ve had a huge pile of 2x4s lying around with the nails still in them. We’ve been able to work around them so far, but with Paul coming in and needing to have space to work, it was evident something had to be done. So after about an hour and a half using my hammer, crow bar and drill, all the nails and screws were removed and I got them out of the house and stored in David’s work shed. The cleansing continues.

The funeral for David’s cousin’s husband is tomorrow, so I left and picked up David for work and we headed to Cambridge. Work will be on hold until Thursday.
