Well now that
we’re back home I guess it’s time to work. David left for work and I got back
to painting. Before the weekend, David put a first coat of ceiling paint up but
it needed a second. So that’s where I started my day. David had used up an
entire can the first time and we only had one more so I was a little wary of
running out. But in the end I got it all painted and even had some to spare.
Then I
started putting color on the walls!! Finally some character is going into this
space! Earlier I had decided on a brown for the actual kitchen walls…some would
disagree that brown is character but anyone that knows me know I tend to stay
with neutral colors. Brown just seems to leave room for splashes of color
elsewhere…at least that’s what I tell myself :o) That was a priority to work on
first so we can get the cabinets in right after it dried. I put on one coat and
by the end of the night just touched up a couple of areas and it looked good to
go! I wanted to work on the green walls but I had a few questions I needed to
ask David before I could roll forward with that. David came home with big plans
of progress on the kitchen, but instead a friend was in town so we decided to
spend the evening relaxing with him.
