Nowadays
David is looking for any excuse to get out of work early. Today is was to make
a trip to Lowes and Home Depot to check out sinks and faucets to have in time
for our counter top appointment on Monday. It was disappointing on both fronts because
after looking in the stores we realized they don’t have many on display. We
both prefer to be able to see and touch what we want and the internet just
doesn’t give you that privilege But considering that looks to be our only
option that’s just what we’ll have to do. While we were at the store we also
picked up more of the pendant lights we decided on and a dinette lights as
well. They’re really pretty! A nice yellow/gold tone to them. Should be a good
match for the rest of the décor in the kitchen.
David was
pooped when we got back so we opted for a movie instead of work. But during the
day I did accomplish a few things. I painted the exposed wall near the
fireplace with the same stuff I used under the cabinets to prevent moisture
damage since that part of the wall is under ground. With two coats applied it
will be ready to be rebuilt tomorrow :o) With instructions from David I also
attached the dimmer switch to the dinette light and prepped the wires to be connected to the
light. With the volt meter I checked that it was registering, but we’re waiting
until we have the light hung before securing the plate cover.
