Day 63 April 18
Workedy work
work. During the day I hung the pendant light fixtures which I love!!! They are
so pretty and emit a really nice glow. My only concern is that they might be a
little too low, but we figure we’ll live with them for a bit and if need be we’ll
change out the length later. But for now I think they look great :o) Next was
to pull up the rest of the carpet. Looking back I don’t really know why we didn’t
just pull it all up at once in the VERY beginning before we had so much crap in
the space, but who really knows why we do the things we do. I had to shimmy the
range and dishwasher over and then up it went. Wahoo! Carpet done!
After
completing my labor intensive tasks of the day, on to ordering our sink. This
was a bit of challenge considering our time frame of Monday, as well as
different amenities offered for different products. In the end we went with a
sink from Lowe’s that they had in stock, which would guarantee meeting our
deadline. The only other thing is a faucet, which we have already picked one,
we just need to confirm that it will fit. It was a typical Thursday night when
I left for training, but not so typical for David because instead of taking the
night off he tore up the last bit of ceramic tile in the foyer. There actually
is a little bit smaller tile by the bathroom but the large sections are
completed.
